Materials and personnel shift management
GeMat is a tool based on Odina time table data output and related materials and personnel shifts assignment Odina feature. The application provides aid to manage weekly and daily materials and personnel shifts assignment. GeMat also helps operators to solve management of abnormalities on standard programmed cycle and to plan actions to materials and shifts of the programmed standard cycle and to plan real time re scheduling. The main GeMat purpose is to assign rolling stocks (as a physical vehicle, identified by serial number) and shifts to services designed with Odina respecting the production and maintenance constraints. The result of the process is the daily schedule of rolling stock, identified by the serial number and personnel shifts.
GeMat application is designed for Microsoft Windows and it is developed using MS Framework 4.5.1. GeMat relies on MS SQL database services for Data Management. The application is available for 32 or 64 platforms; its MS SQL interface with services uses MS SqlClient. The application integrates with windows authentication and can be easily set up to use local groups (or Active Directory groups if available): local or Active Directory groups can be associated with different Roles of GeMat application.
GeMat is a multi-user application. Data protection strategies avoid concurrent access during the design phases that can be critical for data consistency. The input data to GeMat are the result of the time table setup process completed by Odina Application, and the planning information about daily material and personnel shift assignments, both in case of single and multiple train composition. GeMat and Odina integration allows the management and planning of maintenance process through custom actions that can be injected on time table at daily or weekly level.
GeMat defines three main procedures by means user can build the Week and Day model for material and personnel shifts starting from Odina timetable and related material and shift data- the user can then adapt the model to real calendar week of the year, to have daily programming and to solve operating problems such as failures, unavailability, deletions:
- Import Odina time table and weekly model design
- Off-line materials and personnel shifts deployment process for the weekly and daily models
- On-line daily management of abnormalities, services and shifts changes or maintenance
GeMat tools can generate reports to estimate or to verify material use, shifts balance and maintenance operations
